ACH Presents the Lifesaving Award in Pennington County, Minnesota

(Thief River Falls, Minnesota) — In March 2026, the Pennington County Jail staff were presented with a patient in cardiac arrest. While we cannot provide more details due to federal patient privacy and confidentiality laws, we can tell you that this team did not hesitate to respond with urgency during a critical moment.

Utilizing their training and professionalism, Correction Officer Grindeland, Correction Officer Klein, Correction Officer Liam, and Correction Officer Lucero worked together to resuscitate the patient. They did not leave the patient’s side until EMS arrived.

This team saved the patient’s life.

(ACH) presented the Lifesaving Award, an award created to honor non-medical first responders, to Correction Officer Grindeland, Correction Officer Klein, Correction Officer Liam, and Correction Officer Lucero.
