Advanced Correctional Healthcare President & CEO Jessica Young Graduates from Prestigious American Jail Association Jail Executive Institute
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Advanced Correctional Healthcare (ACH) is proud to announce that President and CEO Jessica Young has graduated from the American Jail Association’s (AJA) highly respected Jail Executive Institute (JEI), Class #5.
The Jail Executive Institute is one of the nation’s premier leadership development programs for correctional professionals, bringing together a select group of leaders committed to advancing excellence, professionalism, and innovation within the corrections industry.
Young is believed to be the first correctional healthcare executive—and the first participant without a traditional law enforcement background—to complete the rigorous program.
“I am deeply honored and grateful to the American Jail Association and my classmates for welcoming me into this experience,” said Young. “While I do not wear a badge and would never compare my service to the sacrifices made daily by correctional officers and law enforcement professionals, I am thankful for the opportunity to learn alongside some of the finest leaders in our profession. Their dedication to public safety, service, and leadership has inspired me.”
As President and CEO of Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Young leads one of the nation’s largest county jail healthcare organizations, serving correctional facilities across the United States. Her participation in JEI reflects ACH’s ongoing commitment to strengthening partnerships between correctional healthcare professionals and jail administrators while improving outcomes for incarcerated individuals.
“The future of corrections depends on collaboration,” Young said. “Healthcare and custody professionals share a common mission—to provide safe, secure, and humane environments for those entrusted to our care. This experience reinforced the importance of learning from one another and working together to elevate our profession.”
Young also expressed appreciation for the leadership of the American Jail Association and the members of JEI Class #5.
“I leave this program with tremendous respect for the men and women who serve in corrections and with friendships that I will cherish. I am grateful for the opportunity to represent the correctional healthcare community and remain committed to supporting the important work being done in jails across our country.”
