ACH Presents Critical Thinking Award to Nancy Timothy for Exceptional Emergency Response

(Ottawa, Kansas) – Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. (ACH) is proud to announce Regional Nurse Manager Nancy Timothy as a 2025 recipient of the prestigious Critical Thinking Award.
Nancy was traveling to a site to provide nursing coverage when she came upon a fiery semi-truck accident before first responders arrived. She stopped to help, finding the driver severely burned after escaping the vehicle. Using her medical expertise, she removed burned clothing, cooled the injuries with water, and stayed until emergency crews took over. Her quick action made a profound difference in the driver’s chances of recovery.
The Critical Thinking Award recognizes an ACH associate or jail staff member who exhibits exceptional critical thinking skills and adaptability in analyzing complex situations, making sound decisions, and implementing innovative solutions to deliver high-quality patient care and enhance outcomes in life-threatening conditions where death would otherwise be imminent.
"We are immensely proud to present this Critical Thinking Award, which highlights the dedication and quick decision-making our professionals bring to every setting,” says Jessica Young, Esq., President & CEO of ACH. “Whether inside a facility or out in the community, the right intervention at the right moment can mean a better outcome.”
The award was presented on September 2, 2025. To date in 2025, five Critical Thinking Awards have been given. ACH demonstrates a steady commitment to patients, clients, and associates, and puts people over profits.
