Health Services Administrator Lori Cool Honored with Department of Defense Patriotic Employer Award

This prestigious recognition highlights Lori’s outstanding support of employee participation in the United States National Guard and Reserve.
The award comes following a nomination by Nurse Zywalewski, a valued member of the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office who is currently serving on active duty. In the nomination, Zywalewski wrote:
“Lori has shown me nothing but respect for my service...even when I stepped off for a month... Lori was checking in on me and seeing how I was doing and keeping me in her thoughts. Lori is a mentor and has shaped me into a better correctional nurse.”
The Patriotic Employer Award is the first in a series of honors given by the Employee Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). It celebrates supervisors who go above and beyond by offering flexible schedules, time off for deployment, family support, and other meaningful contributions.
