DAISY Award Presented – Woelfel, RN

(Franklin)– Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. (ACH) is proud to present Nurse Woelfel a DAISY Award for extraordinary patient care.

The DAISY Foundation’s DAISY Award recognizes nurses “for the super-human work they do for their patients and families [of the patients] every day.” While the DAISY Award is well-known in the hospital setting, ACH partnered in 2017 as the first and only correctional health care provider to present this award to its associates. When nurses are honored with the DAISY Award, they receive an award certificate, a DAISY pin, and the Healer’s Touch sculpture. They are also featured on the DAISY Foundation’s website.

Nurse Woelfel’s nomination stated: “Gail gives 101% when she is working at her jails. She is always willing to go above and beyond when providing care to the inmates[...] I, being a new nurse to the company was a bit reluctant to cover other jails for nurses. But after working with Gail, my comfort level was such that I was okay with covering her jails. She has all 3 jails very organized and very easy to find things. The paperwork and files are neatly in order and the communication with the other jail staff is remarkable. Gail is a valuable asset to the jail system.” Nurse Woelfel has been with ACH for 8 months. In this time, she has received 6 thank you notes from coworkers.

Headquartered in Tennessee, Advanced Correctional Healthcare Inc. (ACH) manages contracts for the care of over 34k patients in 370+ correctional facilities across 22 states.
