Nova Award Presented: Attorney Young

PEORIA, ILLINOIS – Attorney Young, CCHP, President of Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. (ACH), was honored with the Creve Coeur Club’s Nova Award at the Washington Day Dinner held on February 24th, 2020.

The Nova Award “recognizes an emerging leader in community service”. Attorney Young demonstrates the characteristics of vision, endurance, dedication, and responsibility with regard to family, work, community, charity, and leadership, leading the way to improve the Peoria area community.

Attorney Young, a graduate of Penn State and Duquesne Law, studied abroad in Beijing, China. She was named as one of Peoria Chamber of Commerce & WEEK TV’s 25 Women in Leadership in 2019, and iBi Magazine’s 40 Leaders Under 40 in 2017.

Attorney Young serves on the National Commission of Correctional Health Care’s Young Professionals Committee, Springdale Historic Preservation Foundation Board, Springdale Cemetery Management Authority Board, and KDB Peoria Women’s Club Trust Foundation’s Board of Directors.

She supports the Monica Young Memorial Scholarship, which honors her late mother-in-law’s life by helping learning disabled students advance once they leave high school. She also supports the following nonprofit organizations: Concerns of Police Survivors, Disabled American Veterans, Hudson Link for Higher Education in Prison, and Mission of Mercy Pittsburgh (a free dental clinic).
