Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. (ACH) recognizes that training is a constant, ongoing process.  While ACH already brings practitioners, nurses, and mental health providers to Peoria three times a year for formal training, in December 2018, ACH partnered with the Jump Trading Simulation and Education Center in Peoria.

In healthcare, no day is exactly the same and corrections staff is no exception. Caring for nearly 34,000 incarcerated patients across 16 states,  ACH sees the value of adding simulation trainings to prepare correctional healthcare staff for their daily duties – expecting the unexpected. We want our people to have cutting-edge training, so we included man-down drills, such as opioid overdoses and suicide attempts, to prepare them to respond quickly and appropriately when faced with a serious situation. We are proud to partner with Jump and look forward to additional simulation training in 2019.
