On January 26, 2018, we sent an email highlighting a specific risk-factor for suicide; withdrawal. This email is part two of the suicide prevention series.
This email is to provide more support for your facility.
Click below to download and print the following:
- ASQ (Suicide Risk) Screening Tool
- Instructions for the Use of the ASQ
- An Updated “Think Suicide” Poster
We suggest you utilize the ASQ Screening Tool to help assist your team in assessing potential risks in your facility. The instructions included should help explain the tool even further and its application to the jail environment. If you need any further assistance, you can always reach out to our Mental Health Team as a resource.
We also suggest posting the updated “Think Suicide” Poster in the common areas as a resource for officers. The more resources and tools available, the better we can serve our patients and the facility’s population.
If you have any questions about the ASQ Tool or suicide prevention techniques, please contact Dr. Melissa Caldwell, CCHP-MH – Director of Mental Health Services.
