The purpose of Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. (ACH) is to solve problems and make lives easier.  In an effort to accomplish this purpose, we are making some changes to our Practitioner Services Department.  Effective immediately, Michael Mitcheff, DO, MBA, CCHP will be fulfilling a newly introduced role of Physician Consultant.  This means we will be utilizing his strengths of risk management, compliance, and pharmacy knowledge to help our team of practitioners reduce waste and risk in your facilities while being compliant with correctional industry standards.

We are excited to announce that Dr. Michael Roach has accepted a promotion from Regional Medical Director to Corporate Medical Director.  During his time with ACH, Dr. Roach has shown leadership skills that will be extremely effective in creating an efficient structure for our Practitioner Services Department.

With Dr. Roach’s promotion, we are also proud to announce the promotion of Dr. Travis Schamber to Regional Medical Director for our Northern Division.  Dr. Schamber was a physician in many northern facilities where he displayed the ACH core values of flexibility and receptiveness.  The ACH team is excited to see Dr. Schamber’s passion for medicine and education as he manages a region of the Practitioner Services Department. Pictured: Dr. Schamber (left) and Dr. Roach (right)

The Practitioner Services Department continues to grow with the expansion of our company.  We look forward to bringing you even more positive changes in this department, and others, to keep up with our growth and mission to lead the industry with professionalism and integrity while adhering to higher standards in medical care, mental healthcare, and business services.  We are committed to recruiting, developing, and retaining an expert team of professionals who are empowered to do the right thing.  If you have any questions or feedback regarding the transition, do not hesitate to reach out to your Regional Nurse Manager, Program Consultant, or me.
